Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father had an ethnically Jewish origin. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved into Mendocino County California. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder who was an avid reader when she was 12 became a book worm since Ryder did not have access to television. When she turned 12 Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In 1986, she got her first role on the big screen in the film Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder was bullied at her high school. Her hope was that her acting career would end the way she dealt with bullying. However, the plan didn't pan out. However, she continued to pursue her goals. Ryder made her breakthrough in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in several movies. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
